How Can tightness And Numbness In The Chest Be Treated?

hello, my name is john michael manilag, im 22 years old, from philippines. i just want to ask about tightness in my chest, its not aching just tight feeling and a slight numb in the surface of my chest, and i also have the tightness in my face. I experienced this for almost about 2weeks or maybe 2weeks or more (cant remember), and my heart beats fast, its pounding inside my chest, i can feel my pulse all over my body, when i started to take the first aspirin 80mg, the beat of my heart feels normal, its not pounding now. 4:am this morning 12/22/2016, i wake up suddenly and noticed my left leg is numb, and then moments it became normal again.. i dont understand what i am feeling right now. i drink aspirin 80mg for 2 consecutive days, and also drink herb, the graviola tea , and havent gone to check my blood pressure if it is high, because i know graviola tea manages the blood pressure and aspirin softens and make the blood thins(i guess). I read about that TIA - transient ischemic attack, the sypmtoms likes mine, but i can move, i can see, i can speech well, i can mobe my head. I also read about the cholesterol builup or plague in arteries, this plague made me worry. its called aresthosclerosis. please help, asap..

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You should have a cardiac evaluation first then think about other things. Do ECG and echo and then work up according to that. A cardiac abnormality is more likely.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani,
